Ofsted Inpection Report – 8th May 2007 PDF Print E-mail
We are pleased to inform you that after our Ofsted inspection in May we have been awarded a ‘Good’ grade overall. The Ofsted inspector who arrived (without any prior warning) was very impressed with the club and said it is unusual for a new club to receive anything other than ‘satisfactory’ for their first inspection.
The report highlighted:

children are happy and keen to attend’

‘children are valued by caring staff’

‘children thoroughly enjoy the range and variety of healthy snacks on offer’

‘children have a very positive attitude to exercise’

‘older children mix well with the younger ones’

‘children’s individual interests and needs are recognised’

‘staff provide excellent role models’

‘close partnership with parents is achieved through the high quality information provided’

‘respect and consideration for others is promoted as children listen attentively to staff and to one another’

The only issue that was raised was that we should have been washing the children’s hands in running water rather than a bowl of soapy water before eating. (Not so environmentally-friendly though!) We have addressed this issue and children now go to the kitchen before ‘snack-time’ to wash their hands in the hand-washing sink.
